Course Overview:
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Guidelines, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
Prerequisites:
Students must be over 16 years of age.
There are no pre-requisites or co-requisites for this unit of competency.

3 hours face to face training.
Participants Materials:
First Aid Guide provided to all students by Immediate Response First Aid
Assessment Criteria:
Throughout the course participants must demonstrate ongoing competency during a series of practical skills evaluation and written assessment.
Requirements for Completion:
100% attendance and participation
Award Issued:
On successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a Statement of Attainment, which is valid for 3 years. This course complies to policy advice by the Australian Resuscitation Council. As per the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines the HLTCPR201A Perform CPR unit is recommended to be completed every 12 months.
This course is nationally recognised through inclusion on the National Training Information Service (NTIS). It is WorkCover approved in every state.
